It’s never too early to start preparing for sandal season. Celebrity nail tech Elle and dermatologists Dr. Marina Peredo and Dr. Gary Goldfaden put together some quick tips on how to take care of our feet during the summer months.
Part 2: PREVENT
-Often in the heat, your feet tend to sweat or swell. Soaking in an ice bath will reduce and prevent swelling. Also, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30. If you’re going to be in and out of pools, beaches, or lakes, make sure to reapply enough product every 30 minutes. — Dr. Marina Peredo, founder of Marina I. -Wash your feet frequently. They accumulate dirt and sweat throughout the day, but regularly washing them will help to avoid odor and unwanted infections. — Dr. Gary Goldfaden, dermatologist and founder of Goldfaden, MD
