With more than 500 million users on Twitter to follow, it can be a little overwhelming to know who is worth your screen space. The nail world is active on the microblogging platform, but I’ve got some great people for you to follow. Follow these nail celebs on Twitter to keep updated on what’s going on behind the scenes in the wild and wacky world of nails!
1. Red Carpet Man https://twitter.com/RedCarpetMan
More than 11,000 followers know the man behind Red Carpet Man is industry veteran and nail tech extraordinaire Tom Bachik. As a celebrity nail tech, Tom adorns the talons of the likes of JLo, Victoria Beckham, Jessica Simpson, and Leann Rimes (to name just a few). His Twitter feed includes conversations with his famous clients, what’s trending in Hollywood, and a peek into his glamorous life traveling the world for L’Oreal.
2. The Painted Nail https://twitter.com/thepaintednail
We love Katie Cazorla. She’s cute. She’s bubbly. She’s funny. And she loves nails. Star of the reality show The Nail Files and owner of The Painted Nail salon (soon to reopen in the W Hollywood), she also launched her own nail line last year. She posts about all her escapades behind the scenes of her reality show and her journey through the nail industry, as well as a look at her fun Hollywood life as the fiancé of a Grammy Award-winning music producer. (Let’s just say Kenny G and Babyface are in a lot of her photos!)
3. Zooey Deschanel https://twitter.com/ZooeyDeschanel
The New Girl star LOVES nail art and she often posts photos of her nails on Twitter. She also is one of the cofounders of Hello Giggles, a positive online community for girls covering everything from pop culture and DIY crafting projects to daily nail art posts. Her Twitter page obviously isn’t nail art-focused, but her nail art posts are always cute and often retweeted.
4. NAILgasm https://twitter.com/NAILgasmTV
Started by Los Angeles-based filmmaker Brass and funded by nail art enthusiasts via Kickstarter.com, NAILgasm started out as a nail art documentary exploring how nail art has evolved from the streets to high fashion. Now, with nearly 2,000 followers, Brass posts about her exploits as a new member of the nail celeb community, traveling across the country meeting nail artists and reporting back on her findings.
5. The Naja https://twitter.com/the_NAJA
Celebrity nail stylist Naja Rickette wears many hats. In addition to adorning the nails of many top celebs, she cohosts Nail Talk Radio, has a role on the reality show LA Hair, and pitches in as a spokesperson for products she believes in. (Most recently for Essie’s new brand of gel-polish.)
