The spring runways showed us some serious crop tops and sheer paneling. And for anyone who thought that look couldn’t be replicated on nails, Q-tips and celebrity nail artist Kimmie Kyees are here to prove you wrong. Just like you would cut off a shirt to bare some midriff, you can use Q-tips and nail polish remover to create the negative space look that is oh so popular.
What you will need:
- Nail polish
- Nail polish remover
- Q-tips
- Base coat and top coat
1. Prep the nail with a base coat. Wait for it to completely dry and harden. Apply polish of choice on nails and allow to dry.
2. Using a Q-tip coated in nail polish remover, swipe across the nail creating a half moon.
3. Find the center of the half moon and drag the Q-tip upwards to create more negative space. Seal with top coat and allow to dry.
You now have an on-trend mani in just three easy steps!
