Summer might officially start on June 21, but we are getting our nails ready now! Hiroko Fujikawa of MARS the Salon in Los Angeles shares how to do two easy summer designs that are sure to brighten your Monday.
What you will need:
- Base coat
- Top coat
- Beige nail polish
- White nail polish
- Yellow nail polish
- Gold tape
- Scissors
1. Apply a base coat.
2. Coat all fingers with beige nail polish.
3. Draw white polka dots on the thumb, middle, and pinky fingers.
4. Draw a yellow line in the center of the index and ring fingers.
5. Place gold tape on the outside lines of the index and ring fingers. Cut the ends of the tape.
6. Apply top coat.
What you will need:
- Base coat
- Top coat
- Dark blue nail polish
- Green nail polish
- Striper brush
- Yellow nail polish
1. Apply base coat.
2. Use a dark blue polish to create a French line.
3. Use a striper brush to create a line under the French on the index and and ring fingers.
4. Draw a yellow line under the French on the thumb, middle, and pinky fingers.
5. Create plaid pattern by painting intersecting horizontal and vertical lines.
6. Add top coat.
