I have a confession to make: I have never been to New York. I have always wanted to go, but so far it just hasn’t happened yet. A lot of people have told me that I would love it there and that I have a “New York style” of dressing, though I don’t know exactly what that means. But I have dreamed of New York. I often imagine what it would be like to walk those legendary streets, dressed to the nines, while doing some window shopping.
The new nail color line from Ricky’s NYC is very New York. This leads to my second confession: I don’t copy and paste press releases in my blog posts, but I loved how this one described the collection, so I am including it here:
“For the Unpaid Interns, living in a Fifth Floor Walkup and buying 5 Dollar Pashminas and Canal St. Knockoffs on the corner. For the Waiter/Actor/Models, starring in some Off Off Broadway production that has those annoying flyers in every Post No Bills area. For the PR party girls who live for Fleet Week and are lucky enough have a Rent Controlled apartment – but STILL manage to have Insufficient Funds. For the lucky few who can take a Summer Friday and get great seats for Shakespeare in the Park. For the average New Yorker whose idea of fine dining is a hot dog at a Grade Pending dive or a late night Bodega Run (with that annoying Soda Tax). And for our Bridge and Tunnel friends from across the pond (the Hudson River) who always get suckered in to taking Gypsy Cabs. There’s a RickyColor for everyone.”
The words in bold are actually the color names. This new New York-inspired collection is available along with RickyColor nail treatment products on their website and in Ricky’s stores. For a New York state of mind you will definitely want to throw on one of these shades.
