Last Friday I stopped by The Nail Bar at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. to attend the launch of Sole Goddess, a protective foot balm that’s as cute and purse-friendly as a tube of lip gloss. When applied to the feet, Sole Goddess goes on clear and aims to prevent rubbing, chaffing, and blisters caused by shoes. The company’s tagline says it all: Killer shoes don’t have to kill your feet.
Danielle Lutz, Sole Goddess’ founder, spent two years developing the formula. She was inspired by foot balms on the market for marathon runners but wanted something available for the everyday woman.
“When we see someone wearing a pair of shoes we like, ‘are they comfortable’ is always a follow-up question,” says Lutz, who dreams of a world where the answer to that question is most always ‘yes,’ bridging the gap between comfort and fashion.
The main ingredient in the product is allantoin, a natural anti-irritant and skin protector. Other natural ingredients include coconut oil, bees wax, aloe vera, and vitamin E.
Keep your feet nice between pedicures with Sole Goddess, which is also available year-round in a smaller, pink version for Breast Cancer Awareness month!
