Nail Art Gallery Magazine April 2013

Nail Art Gallery Magazine, April/May 2013

So excited for the release of the April/May issue of Nail Art Gallery Magazine!

This issue is dedicated to anyone who has ever loved sparkly shoes, a good book, and experimenting with nail art. Every installment has something  unique to offer, but I was particularly moved by the pop culture segment in this edition. It pays homage to so many of the works of art that have become part of our popular conscience. They are instantly recognizable and evoke a common memory.

Breakfast at Tiffany's nail art

Jae’tte Burneo, Cosi Fan Tutte, Laguna Beach, Calif.

I love these Tiffany blue nails honoring my favorite actress and style icon Audrey Hepburn. You can learn more about the artist behind these nails here.

Accent Nail Art

Cammy Nguyen, Blossom Beauty Lounge, Redondo Beach, Calif.

When I am not collecting nail polish I am collecting shoes. Needless to say, I adore this pair of accent nails. You can see more of Cammy Nguyen’s work here.

abstract nail art

Julie Le, Bound Brook, N.J.

Abstract nails are not always my favorite, but I love this fresh approach from Julie Le. She used a monochromatic color palette and crystals to tie together very different designs.

inlaid nail art

Gina Elliot, Urban Angel, Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Nail Art Gallery Magazine April/May 2013

Celebrity manicurist Melissa Bozant, me, model, and Karen Waters.

If there’s one trend I am really into, it’s the feather one. As you can see from my editor’s photo above, I like wearing feathers. I have skirts, dresses, tops, handbags, and headbands. Now I just need the nails. I really like how Gina Elliot encased feathers in her manicure.

This is just a sampling of some of the artwork you will find in Nail Art Gallery Magazine. You can view the entire April/May issue here and past issues here. You can even be in the next issue! All you have to do is e-mail photos or links of  nail art to [email protected]. Please include your full name, salon name (if applicable), city, state, and country to be considered.

If you can’t make it until the next issue, I suggest uploading to and perusing Nail Art Gallery for hours upon hours of  inspiration.

I look forward to seeing your nail art submissions and maybe even blogging about them when the June/July issue comes out. Happy nail painting!
