Confession: I am not a big TV watcher. In fact, one of the reasons I enjoy TV is because it gives me time to paint my nails. However, one of my absolute favorite shows of all-time was “The Office,” and when I heard that Mindy Kaling was getting her own TV show, I had to give it a chance.
A year later, and I am hooked on “The Mindy Project.” It’s so fresh, honest, and funny. I especially love Kaling’s style! She is not afraid to wear colors, print, and bling. If you follow her on social media, you know that she loves getting her nails done too. I still remember the part in her book where she headed to the nail salon after having a bad day at “The Office.” Since Kaling has excellent taste in nail art, I was excited to see the shimmery nails she posted yesterday. She opted for a sparkly mani for her appearance on David Letterman’s show tonight.

I chatted with Kaling’s manicurist, Katherine St. Paul Hill, and she gave me the scoop on these Late Night beauties. “She wanted something sparkly but appropriate for Late Night, so we decided on black with some gold glitter on top.” Hill used Sephora by OPI gelshine in What’s a Tire Jack with Looks Like Rain, Dear on top. These are the perfect nails for a late night out!
